I have to admit that I love snapchat. It can be used for a lot of not so good things, but my family has so much fun with it. Last Sunday we were having a game night. My siblings had me teach them how to do all the funny effects and faces that snapchat has now. I taught them how, and we spent the next half hour sending each other snapchats and sending them to my parents as well. My nephew who is almost 4 love it! I then got the idea to try it out on the baby, and that was even better. There are so many fun things that technology has given us that actually do bring families closer together. Though we were all on our phones, we were still talking and laughing and interacting together.

So cute! My favorite thing about snapchat is that I get to see cute little videos of my nephew when I'm far away from him. It's just a nice, easy way to stay in contact and feel close to family members. :)
ReplyDeleteFun! Snapchat is great for stuff like this! I love that we have the opportunity to use media and technology in ways that benefit so many.
ReplyDeleteSo fun! I delayed getting Snapchat for the LONGEST time because I thought it was ridiculous. I got it last summer and have since loved it! I love sending videos and pictures but not having it take up a bunch of space on my phone! It does make me a little sad that you can't save other people's videos because sometimes I wish I could see the videos of my nieces and nephews again and again after the 24 hour period. However, I do think it is a great app!
ReplyDeleteMy roommates and I have shared many laughs playing with the snapchat effects. I agree that technology does have the ability to bring people closer together.
ReplyDeleteI actually had a pretty similar experience last weekend with my four year-old nephew as well. He always asks me if he can play "that game with all the faces" and draw on my phone (also on Snapchat). We had so much fun trying out all the faces and eventually my mom came out and then my sister, both wanting to join in on the fun and learn how to do what we were doing.
ReplyDeleteI love snap chatting my family! These days I don't ever snap anyone else. The greatest was when my 11 year old brother was snapping our family 24/7 about everything. They were the funniest snaps ever. This is one of the reasons I love media so much!
